Veal liver recipe


Veal liver is also a good source of iron and Vitamin A, similarly to the chicken liver, and it is a delicacy for european meals. Our recipe for veal liver with garlic is very similar as the one for chicken liver, except that, for enhanced flavor and to obtain a tender liver,  the veal liver must be soaked in milk for about 10 minutes prior to cooking.


Veal liver with garlic - A Quick and Easy Dinner Recipe

Cooking time: 20-30 minutes

Makes: 6 servings


  • 1 pound veal liver
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • ground black pepper


  1. Soak the veal liver in milk for about 10 minutes.
  2. Put the veal liver into a non-stick skillet with non-heated olive oil.
  3. Cook at high heat for 3-4 minutes (each chicken liver must have enough space in the skillet to be lightly fried -to become brownish).
  4. Flip over and cook for another 3 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic cloves, and sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper. Cover the skillet with a lid.
  6. Now reduce the heat to low. After another 2-3 minutes the dinner is ready to be served.
