Lamb with lemon

Lamb with lemon sauce is a delicious recipe for lamb lovers. You will be delighted by the tangy flavor added by the lemon sauce. A truly gourmet dish.

Lamb with lemon sauce

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Makes: 6 servings


  • 2 pounds lamb leg (or lamb ribs)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 lemon
  • salt


  1. Cut lamb in 1.5 inches cubes ( or cut the ribs in 2-3 pieces- as wishes).
  2. Bring to boil in a pot with water the lamb pieces and an onion(  the water must cover the pieces). Simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
  3. Made a white sauce as follows: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan. Add 1 tablespoon flour stirring constantly. Pour slowly 1 cup of water stirring continuously and bring to a boil.
  4. Pour the white sauce in the pot when the meat is tender enough and add 4-6 lemon slices. Season with salt. Bring to a boil for 1-2 minutes. Serve it very warm.
